This is the privacy policy for https://vedops.me — a personal technology portfolio published by Vedant Kalia (the owner) under the personal brand Vedops. It is run by an individual, not a company, and it collects very little data.
1. Who is behind this site
Vedops is the personal portfolio of Vedant Kalia, a DevOps and Cloud engineer. The person responsible for any data handled through this site is Vedant Kalia. For any privacy question, contact vedant.kalia@vedops.me.
2. What this site collects
- Messages sent through the contact form (your name, email address and message). These are transmitted by email to the owner’s mailbox. They are not stored in a site database — this site has no account system and no login.
- Technical information your browser sends automatically when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device and operating system, and the pages you view. Like any website, the web server processes this information in order to serve the pages to you.
- A consent-preference cookie that the cookie-consent banner (CookieYes) may place so it can remember the choices you make about cookies.
This site does not run analytics, advertising, or social-tracking scripts.
3. How your information is used
- To reply to messages you send through the contact form.
- To serve and protect the website (e.g. security, load balancing and abuse prevention).
- To remember your cookie-consent preferences.
Your information is never sold, rented or traded, and it is not used for marketing.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
When you first visit, a consent banner may appear so you can accept, reject or customise cookies. The site itself does not set advertising or analytics cookies. You can also clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings.
5. Third-party services
One external service may touch your data in the ordinary course of running the site:
- AddToAny — the share buttons on blog posts load a script from addtoany.com only when you view a post with those buttons.
6. Data security
The site is served over HTTPS, the file editor is disabled, and there is no account system to compromise. Because the site stores no personal data itself, the only personal data involved is what you choose to send via email, which is protected by your email provider and the site owner’s mailbox security.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal data you have sent to the owner,
- Request that it be corrected or deleted,
- Withdraw consent where you gave it.
